For pressurised gas, water and sewage duties, polyethylene pipe offers major advantages when compared to traditional pressurised pipeline materials allowing considerably lower installation and whole life costs.
Pipes are extruded in two standard materials – PE80 (MDPE) and PE100 (HPPE) with PE100 providing a higher performance. PE80 is generally used for small bore pipes (63mm and below).
They are lightweight, flexible, non-corrosive, chemical resistant and fully compliant with water and gas industry standards. A variety of jointing options are available.
