Electrofusion Fittings
Electrofusion is the most effective and reliable method of joining polyethylene pipe.
The fittings are designed with built-in electrical heating elements and when voltage is applied the heater coils melt the inside of the fitting and the outside of the pipe wall, welding them together and producing a very strong homogenous joint.
A selection of fittings are shown above, and come in a range of sizes to suit 20-400mm diameter pipe.
All are WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme), BS EN 12201 (Plastic piping systems for water supply, and for drainage and sewerage under pressure) and BS EN 1555 (Plastic piping systems for the supply of gaseous fuels), approved.
